Refreshing and invigorating, this delicious chaga iced tea is perfect for hot days or just when you need an invigorating or healing drink that soothes the body and soul.
Chaga strengthens the liver and adrenal glands and makes it difficult for pathogens such as viruses and bacteria to survive in the body.
Homemade honey helps push chaga's healing properties deeper into hard-to-reach places, improving the functions of many of the body's systems.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 tsp. organic chaga powder
- 3 cups hot water
- 2-3 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2-3 tbsp. homemade honey or maple syrup
- 1 cup ice, to serve
- 3 strawberries, sliced, to serve
- 3-4 slices of lemon, for serving
Method of preparation:
Place the chaga powder in a teapot or jug and pour hot water over it. Set aside until it cools to room temperature. You can strain it as desired or leave it as is.. Add the lemon juice and homemade honey or maple syrup and mix.
Divide the ice, strawberries and lemon wedges between two serving glasses and fill them with the chilled tea. Serve immediately.
Portion for 2 people.
