The chaga mushroom is also rich in beta-glucans, which can significantly strengthen and strengthen the immune system, making it an ideal choice for those suffering from autoimmune diseases such as chronic fatigue syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS ), Crohn's disease , lymphoma, bursitis, herpes zoster , and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

Chaga contains the highest level of superoxide dismutase (SOD) in the world, which is an enzyme that helps break down free radicals, and has been shown to be very effective in the treatment of Parkinson's disease , Alzheimer's, Lou Gehrig's disease , gout, scleroderma, osteoarthritis and cataracts. Its anti-inflammatory properties make it ideal for people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) , arthritis, colitis, cystitis, tendinitis, edema, asthma, celiac disease and acne. The wide range of medicinal benefits found in chaga make it one of the most important and essential medicinal foods to include in a natural health regimen.

Ingredients:

For the coconut cream (optional):

  • 1 can of 400ml coconut cream or full fat coconut milk chilled in the fridge overnight;
  • 2-3 tbsp. raw honey.

Method of preparation:

Place the coconut milk, water, chaga powder , cinnamon , ginger , cardamom , nutmeg, dates, and vanilla in a blender and blend until smooth and frothy, at least 2 minutes.

To make the coconut cream, which is optional, chill the mixing bowl in the freezer for 10 minutes. When the bowl has cooled, skim the heavy cream off the top of the kenna, leaving the coconut water. Using a stand mixer, whip the cream for 2-3 minutes until soft peaks form. Add the honey and beat for another 2 minutes.

To serve, pour the drink into a glass and top with coconut cream (if using) and sprinkle with cinnamon. Serve immediately.
