Apples provide living water, which supports the liver’s ability to hydrate by storing water and releasing it back into the bloodstream when you are dehydrated or have dirty blood syndrome . The fruit acids in apples help cleanse the liver by breaking down toxic buildup in its storage compartments. Apples eliminate bacteria, yeast, mold, other fungi, and viruses from the intestinal tract and liver. They are also great for dissolving gallstones. You can learn more about apples by reading the article “Apples Help Cleanse the Bowel” .

Dates help to expel mucus from the intestinal tract. The sugars in dates fuel the liver; they are an excellent source of glucose, which is necessary for repair and regeneration, allowing it to perform its over 2,000 chemical functions.

Ingredients:

  • Juice of 1 lemon, divided;
  • 3 red apples;
  • 1 cup Medjool dates, pitted;
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla powder (optional);
  • 1/2 cup water.

Optional topping ideas:

  • 1 cup raspberries;
  • 1/4 cup raisins;
  • 1/4 cup dried mulberries;
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut ;
  • 2 tablespoons raw honey.

Method of preparation:

Fill a large bowl with cold water and pour half the lemon juice into it.

Set each apple aside and carefully slice into 0.5cm thick slices. Using a small cookie cutter or bottle cap, cut out the core in the middle of each slice. Place the finished apple slices immediately in the bowl of lemon water to prevent browning.

In a blender, blend the dates, vanilla (optional), ½ cup water, and the remaining lemon juice until you get a thick and smooth “caramel.”

Remove the apple slices from the water. Spread the caramel mixture on them and add your favorite toppings!

Tip:

If the dates you are using are dry, try soaking them in warm water for a few minutes before pureeing them.

Serving size for 4 people.
