APPLE AND CINNAMON SMOOTHIES

Enjoy the exquisite flavors of apple pie in this divine smoothie. Creamy, filling, and sweet, it will feel like dessert, but without the harmful flaws of wheat, eggs, butter, and refined sugar that are part of the standard apple pie recipe. In fact, this recipe is full of healing ingredients, so you can easily make it again and again.

Never underestimate the power of an apple. The anti-inflammatory properties of this fruit make it the best choice when you are facing almost any ailment. Encephalitis (inflammation of the brain), IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and viral infection (which can lead to nerve inflammation) are just a few conditions where apples can play a crucial nutritional role in calming your body by reducing viral and bacterial load that create inflammation.

Apples also provide living water to help hydrate the liver so it can store water and release it back into the circulation when dehydration or toxic blood syndrome occurs. The fruit acids in apples help cleanse the liver by dispersing the toxic films that accumulate in its storage compartments. Apples expel bacteria, yeast, molds, other fungi and viruses from the intestinal tract and liver.

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium-sized red apples, cored and cut into pieces;
  • 1 1/2 frozen banana;
  • 1 cup of water;
  • 1 tbsp. maple syrup or 1 medjool variety date (optional);
  • 3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon ;
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger powder ;
  • A pinch of ground nutmeg.

Method of preparation:

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Portion for 1 person.
