Although Anthony William doesn't usually recommend intermittent fasting, it's an option for intermittent fasting enthusiasts. If you're looking to try this cleansing technique, this is the way to go. To read more on the subject, check out the article "Anthony William Reveals the Truth About Intermittent Fasting" .
- After waking up, drink 750 ml. to 1 liter. of water with lemon or lime. ( See the article “Lemon Water” for a recipe with the correct ratio of lemon or lime to water ). Wait 15 to 60 minutes, then:
- By noon, drink 1 liter of celery juice. (You can also drink 2 liters if you wish.) ( You can learn more about celery juice from all the celery articles on our blog . ) Wait at least 15 minutes, then:
- Sip a little bit of 500 ml. to 1 l. of lemon/lime water (with 1 tsp. raw honey). If you wish, you can replace up to 750 ml. of the lemon/lime water with up to 750 ml. of coconut water , which does not contain natural colors or flavors.
That’s it! Stick to lemon or lime water , followed by celery juice , followed by lemon or lime water (with raw honey) and/or coconut water . That means no coffee, matcha tea, energy drinks, or bone broth. Anthony William doesn’t recommend going all day on caffeine while not eating anything. It’s best to eat within four to six hours of waking up. This is a safer alternative to intermittent fasting, but we still recommend the Morning Cleanse or one of the other cleanses in the book “Cleanse for Health.”
While Anthony William's usual recommendation is not to treat celery juice as a meal replacement because it is not a source of calories (and that is why he usually says to follow it with a snack after 15 to 60 minutes), there are intermittent fasting followers who wonder how to incorporate celery juice into their daily regimen. The option proposed here is the answer to that question.
This option fits into the framework of intermittent fasting because during the morning fast you don't add any calories from fat. With intermittent fasting, you take a break from fat, and people don't know that it is this break that sometimes helps with temporary weight maintenance or loss. ( Again, see the article "Anthony William Reveals the Truth About Intermittent Fasting" for more information on this subject. ) One of the real reasons some people feel more energetic and have a clearer mind when they fast intermittently is that the energy that would otherwise go to break down the fat from breakfast is used by other systems in the body. There are more sustainable ways to reduce fat in your life for more lasting results - methods discussed in Anthony William's book "Cleanse for Health" .
Intermittent fasts that include coffee and butter don’t really do your body any favors because they contain not only fat but also caffeine. By limiting yourself to water with lemon or lime, a teaspoon of raw honey, celery juice, and optional coconut water, you’re cutting calories and abstaining from food—which is what fasting people want—while also taking care of your health by abstaining from fat all morning so your body can stay in detox mode. The option we just looked at gives you that break from digesting fat. So does the Morning Cleanse, as do every other cleanse in the book “Cleanse for Health.”
"In all the years that I have helped many people heal, the Spirit of Compassion has always told me that when you know the true cause of your illness, the battle is half won. The other half is won when you know what to do and what to treat yourself with, and how to apply that knowledge."
